Turkish Pride

Hey everyone! Just a super quick post, I took a screen picture while watching Glee, they were in New York and there was a Turkish ad =) I love when I spot things like this (not just Turkish, but anything or anyone I am familiar with or close to)

I do have a collective Charlotte Russe haul coming up, but every time I take pictures they get lost somewhere on my computer. Don't worry though! I got out early today, and have a three day weekend to find them =)
Have any plans this weekend? I would love to know!

Free Starbucks Drink Mystery!

Hey everyone!
When I got the Iced Caramel Macchiato yesterday, I knew I had less than $3 but for some reason the cashier didn't ask for any extra money, so I assumed I had like $3.50 so just enough for the drink. I came home and checked my Starbucks Rewards account and saw that I got a star (which you get for each purchase) and the amount was around $2.40. I have no idea where that extra $2 came from but I'm not complaining. Then I checked the transaction history and all it had was until May 20th, and no more purchases after that.
Those were all checked on my iPod, so today I decided to check online and it said that those were all of the transactions until May 24th. Then I realized that yesterday, the barista gave me that Caramel Macchiato for free! Right after all of that complaining of how expensive it was. Isn't that awesome? Anyway, I decided to share this with you. I'm thinking of going back to the store and telling them, because I don't feel comfortable otherwise. Or should I call the store and tell them?

What would you do?

4 Ingredient Iced Caramel Macchiato!

I woke up today and really wanted a latte with caramel syrup from Starbucks, I saw it in my dream and for the whole school day I thought about it. Then my mom told me to walk to a store nearby so she could pick me up and Starbucks was on the way and I decided to pop in and try an Iced Caramel Macchiato with Caramel syrup instead of Vanilla. I got a tall, for $3.45! So expensive, and to be honest, it wasn't amazing or special.  It finished in 3 minutes, so I came home and decided to make my own, and I think it tastes better!
Ingredients:
Caramel Syrup
Milk
Coffee
Ice
(Sugar is optional)
Pour some of the caramel syrup in a cup and around the edges (I put it in a Starbucks plastic cup ;), fill it about 3/4 with ice, pour in the milk slowly, then the coffee (regular hot coffee thats been cooled down) and add caramel syrup on top. I added a lot of caramel syrup and made it really sweet. I also added a teaspoon of sugar, but it doesn't make much of a difference.
Viola! (I blended it with my straw) This is actually my trenta cup when I got the iced passionfruit tea.

Hope you try this out! If you have any questions let me know!

Henna Night

A few weeks ago, we had a henna night, henna night is kind of like a bridal shower, only for girls, and is very popular in Turkey. I don't want to bore you with what happens, so you can read more here. The main thing, as in the name, is the henna, me and my friends all had it done, so I just wanted to show you the beautiful designs. I will say that normally Turkish people just put a little circle of henna, without any designs. It's more of the Indian/Pakistani culture that makes these nice designs.
Mini purple cupcakes! So cute =)
Mine, btw, this lady put glitter on while the henna was still wet.. it was a nice touch. (Note how my design goes on the middle finger =P)
I'm pretty sure this is Awesome's (this is her nickname for now)
Zee's, but I'm changing her nickname to Zoe.
This is Elle's (I think I've mentioned her before)
Dee's
I love this one! I really wanted this style, and the purple glitter looks like it glows!
I'm going to call her Mini Dee. =)
And I'll call her Strawberry..
This is mine after it dried, sorry it's so faded, I forgot to take a picture until several days after.
Hahah sorry for all of those random nicknames, I know it doesn't matter to some of you, but for my friends who read my blog, I wanted to show which hand was which =)

Week Rant and To-Do List

It's Monday again, and though I don't really hate mondays, I don't like them either. I have such a busy week this week and it started out with my Physio teacher not giving anyone a stamp except one person because they colored the arm they drew and we didn't. She didn't tell us to color it!! Apparently she did the same thing in my friends class too. =/ I hate it when teachers or adults can't admit they are wrong... they think that just because they are an adult they are flawless and always right. Anyways, I thought I would share my crazy to-do list for this week..

Lake Tahoe Trip!

We went to Lake Tahoe in February with some friends over the weekend, and I decided to share some pictures with you guys =) It got very warm here recently, but now its cold again (aka 65 degrees). The snow was really fun, but very cold! Though I enjoyed it a lot, I don't think I could live with snow everyday =)

The view from the car
On top of the hill (getting ready for tubing!)
The view under the slope for skiing
I went skiing for the first time! It was a little hard, but I learned quickly.  I got super sore, but it was really fun!

Views from the ski lift
The lake...
Me looking out to the lake (I actually had taken off my socks because they were wet, so I couldn't feel my feet! I also left my gloves in the room so I had to wear Dee's, she was wearing two.)
Snow on the carpet in front of the hotel.
The perfect snowball!
My mini snowman =) I made it right before we left.

I decided to wear my "Uggs" for this occasion, since I figured they would be appropriate. I don't really like them, besides the way they look and the fact that they aren't healthy for your feet and aren't waterproof. =P I sprayed it with a waterproof spray for shoes, and I expected them to keep me warm, but they didn't, they were better than normal shoes, obviously, but the ski shoes were soo much more warmer.
Did you take any trips recently?

Book Review: Torn to Pieces

This is my first book review! Also, the first real book I have been able to read (besides school) this year. I thought I was busy sophomore year...
The book is Torn to Pieces by Margot Mcdonnell, you can buy it here.
I don't know if its because its been a while since I've read, but I seriously love this book, there just HAS to be a sequel! It's amazingly written, and is mysterious, and has a tiny bit of romance as well. I love it!

I know some book reviews can be boring, so I'm going to try to make this quick. Basically, the book is about this girl Anne, whose mother always leaves her for business trips and one day doesn't come back. Strange things start to happen, and Anne gets worried so she tries to solve the mystery, and realizes nothing is as it seems. If you love mystery books that still have some romance, I definitely advise you to read this book.

AMAZINGNESS

Hey everyone,
I just had a stressful AP exam, my first one ever, and I came home to this video. I know its a little religious, but even though I don't share the same religious views, its a great video. No matter what religion you are or what you believe, please watch this video with an open mind. It made me feel so happy and relaxed.

This is the type of message I want to send people, to go on no matter what. If any of you are feeling sad or depressed and you can't talk to anyone, you can email me! I will try my best to help, if your Christian or Jewish, black or white, gay or straight. Sure, we might not believe the same things, but we are all human <3
I LOVE YOU GUYS!
